We are pleased to announce the forthcoming publication of the tenth volume in the Publications of the Dictionary of Old English (PDOE) book series, Prof. Dabney A. Bankert’s Philology in Turbulent Times: Joseph Bosworth, His Dictionary, and the Recovery of Old English. In her book, Bankert offers a detailed examination of the genesis of Joseph Bosworth and T. Northcote Toller’s Anglo-Saxon Dictionary, a foundational work of Old English lexicography.
